I think we made the most out of our Friday evening in Anacortes. First stop was at Dad's Diner smoke truck where we picked up some pulled pork and smoked brisket. We drove up to the top of Cap Sante and ate our little picnic facing the sunshine with views of the town.
Then we went to Ness's house to do a little furniture shopping. They are moving in a couple of months and we are looking for more furniture, so we toured her beautiful home and put dips on some of the bedroom items.
We found a trail on the north waterfront of the island and walk for about an hour. The trail was beautiful and full of people and their pets. I can't believe how nice of weather we had today.
Next stop was Pizza Factory for the all you can eat salad bar to get our fill of veggies and watch game three of the World Series. We are rooting for the Cubs, but they didn't win tonight.
Anacortes High School football didn't win either. We went to the brand new stadium to watch the game. I just watch the people, because I'm so excited to see people enjoying the space. Most days it is an empty construction site to me, but I love seeing the community move about and interact in the grandstands, the plaza, and all over. It was a beautiful evening for a game, it's just too bad Anacortes couldn't pull off a win against Sedro Woolley. But the biggest win was the great evening Tim and I spent together.
